Dr. APJ Abdul
Kalam, a name that needs no introduction, jotted down his inspirational life in
a book called ‘Wings of fire’. The story not only tells about the journey of
his life but also inspires to be a workaholic. Nope, not the kind of workaholic
you think but the kind which is defined by Dr.Kalam. He gave a new definition
to it. It is the inspiration for the zillions who struggle through the path of
the success, those who wants to end it and give up, those who are done with the
daily failure. Same is the case with the
autobiography of famous cricketer, Yuvraj Singh, which
predominantly taught to fight against all the odds.
This leaves you
with a question, what does your autobiography have? What are you writing for?
Life has many phases; good and bad. It teaches lesson throughout the journey.
You learn, succeed, fail, grow and experience but what all should hold place in
your autobiography?
If all these are
the questions that bother you and you are in a dilemma if you are on the right
track while writing your autobiography, hold on to this article.
1.
Make a cluster: Write ‘my life’ in a
circle and emerge the lines from it. Indicate all the indispensable events of
your life with these arrows. Once done with it, think which all events you want
to cover in your life.
2.
All is the part but not necessary: No
doubt that there are many instances that you faced and that would have changed
your life, for better but you need not to include each and everything in your
autobiography. Decide to which path you want to take your story and what all
are the notable events for that.
3.
Outline your story: frame the story line
for your book by jotting down the flow of the story. Make notes of the
headings, how the story is going to start, the twists and turns and finally how
you are going to conclude it.
4.
Mark the details: Mark the details of
the events. How you are going to describe the indispensable events. Decide the
conversation and detailing of the major events.
5.
Practicing free writing: This helps
whether you are writing an article, an essay, a novel, an autobiography etc.
Write continuously for 10-15 mins without giving it a thought what you are
writing and how it will frame out. Do not edit a single word, just keep on
writing. Afterwards, highlight the indispensable part and underline the not so
good part.
6.
Think: Now think if you want to reframe
the underlined section or you want to frame it all over again. Do the needful
and move to the next part.
7.
Publish: Finally find a self-publisher India, free ebook
publisher in India, ebook publisher in India and get your book published.
Give the freedom and flexibility of editing to the publisher so that your work
is almost perfect and have a professional shape.
